The best of PGO and Full Stock
The Seismic System offers all the advantages of PGO Shotgun and the accuracy of a full stock, without their drawbacks.  The debate has raged for decades, with PGO considered better for home defense due to its compact size and maneuverability in tight spaces.  This is where PGO had a clear advantage; the only disadvantage was the inability to aim accurately at your target.  Either way, you had to compromise; you could not have all the advantages of both platforms in one shotgun.
That debate is over. The Seismic Shotgun has all the advantages of the PGO shotgun, with the accuracy and control of a full stock. The Seismic Shotgun clearly has the advantage over a full-stock or conventional PGO shotgun for CQB and home defense.

How does the Seismic Shotgun stack up against the conventional PGO shotguns on the market today?

Let's begin with some questions. If you have a PGO Shotgun,

Can you shoot your Pistol Grip shotgun comfortably, with control, and with accuracy?
Do you need a strap-on or a sling to control recoil?
Do you tense up because you're anticipating recoil?
Can you fire 150 rounds of average-load shells, 1400 fps slugs, and buckshot without discomfort or fatigue?
Can you confidently engage targets out to 100 yards or more?

The Pistol Grip Shotgun has been around for over 100 years, and these problems I just described have persisted ever since and have long been believed to be inherent to the PGO platform, and that’s just the way it was. If you want the benefits of a short, fast-handling, maneuverable shotgun, you must accept its deficiencies and limitations
Well, now you can kiss all those problems goodbye. I’m here to tell you that it’s no longer true. It’s time to forget all your opinions, beliefs, and experiences with pistol-grip shotguns. None of that matters. Those days are gone.
With the Seismic Shotgun System, you can shoot with more comfort, control, and accuracy than you ever dreamed possible.

The Seismic Shooting System
Upgrading your shotgun with Seismic conversion accessories and employing Seismic shooting methods changes everything about how you interface with the shotgun. The shooting position offers incredible stability and control. In a full high-ready draw, the elbow is cocked back as the receiver comes under the cheek. The front elbow is also cocked as the bicep draws inward toward the body, while the supporting hand wraps around the foregrip.

This position offers the greatest stability and significantly improves accuracy, especially at long distances. However, we are not always able to shoot from a perfect position, and that’s where the Seismic Shotguns' control and maneuverability really come into play. The shooter's mobility and agility are greatly enhanced. The Seismic Shooting System allows freedom of movement and shooting positions that are not possible with a full stock or a conventional PGO.

 What about recoil?
The Seismic Shotgun System offers an unprecedented degree of comfort and control. The shooting position and pistol grip design dissipate recoil. As the recoil pushes the shotgun back, the shooter's grip hand moves upward. This upward motion also pushes the shotgun's rear down. As a result, the cheek weld safely moves away from the face.
At the same time, the shooter's arm pushes back from the shoulder, and the body moves with the recoil. There is no single point where recoil impacts, such as the shoulder or the palm. The recoil is dissipated through the body. 
This action also assists in the follow-up shot. As the shooter resets the shotgun and pushes it forward, the forward hand moves back to rack a new shell. 

Shooting Positions
The archer's stance provides maximum stability and accuracy. In this position, the shotgun is perfectly balanced and requires very little effort to hold. With a full-stock shotgun, your forearm is extended, which can lead to fatigue and reduced accuracy. With the Seismic system, the forearm is at rest while the bicep is tucked into the body. This method can be employed in most other shooting positions and movements, such as kneeling, lunging, sitting, or moving forward and laterally. You never know what position you'll find yourself in during a live-fire scenario, and the Seismic System allows for a wide range of diverse and awkward movements and positions while maintaining accuracy. Examples include shooting from prone, negotiating and shooting around obstacles, alternating between the left and right hands, and even shooting behind you without moving your feet. You may never use these positions in live fire, but you never know. It’s always good to go beyond.

Seismic Shotgun Accessories
There are 3 required components and one optional.
1. The Seismic Pistol Grip
2. The Receiver-mounted Cheek Weld or RM Weld
3. The Forward Mounted Rail
4. Optional: The Seismic Sling

The Seismic Pistol Grip was the result of over 5 years of prototyping and making grips as the shooting system evolved. I created 100s of pistol grips for various shotgun models and rifle calibers; however, my focus was always on two shotgun platforms: the Remington 870 and the Mossberg 500/590 with 18’ barrels. Today, both grips offer the ultimate in shooting comfort and control. The Mossberg 500 was my first PGO conversion. I found it difficult to achieve the results I was looking for. Later, I picked up a Remington 870 to convert and found it far easier to design and make grips that performed better. I also found that what works on a Remington won’t work on a Mossberg. It has amazed me ever since that manufacturers make the same grip designs for both, even though they are distinctly different. The problem with the Mossberg is that the trigger position is set out 1” further from the end of the receiver. It’s a one-inch longer reach than the 870. Because of this, I shelved the Mossberg for a long time and put all my efforts into the Remington 870. However, the story has a happy ending for Mossberg fans: I recently gave it one more attempt and finally created a Mossberg Grip that works as well as the 870.

The RM Weld was a no-brainer; obviously, I didn't want to rest my cheek on hard metal. And that’s about as simple as it gets. The RM Weld will be available for both Remington and Mossberg. They will come with hardware for mounting on tapped receivers.

The Forward-Mounted Rail System
In the beginning, I mostly converted hunting shotguns to PGO. They were cheap and plentiful at the time and featured a Vent Rib. This proved invaluable because it was easy to drill and tap the rib to attach a Picatinny rail. I later found other options, such as the Amega Scout rail; however, I always preferred the sleek lines and reduced bulk of mounting the rail directly to the rib.

Rib Rail Options
There will be two options for Vent Rib mounts. The first is slotted and fits over the rail, with screws for attachment. This requires drilling and tapping the rib.
The second is also slotted but requires no drilling or tapping. It is secured with set screws on the side of the rail.

Smooth Barrel Options
The Amega Scout rails have not been available for the Remington 870 and Mossberg 500. We are working on our own barrel rail systems for both smooth and vent-ribbed barrels. The second option is an integrated rail that is brazed onto the barrel. This will require you to send the barrel in for modification.

Mossberg 590 Options
We are working on new options of the  Mossberg 590 Shockwave with an 18” barrel for a rail system that attaches. The integrated rail will also be available.

Other Firearms: Remington Tac 14, Tac 13, Mossberg Shockwave, and Aftershock.

 These models require a longer grip than the standard size grip for the 18” barrel models. Customization is required.
Warning: You CANNOT attach a Seismic Pistol Grip to any of these shotguns without first making modifications. If you do, your shotgun will no longer be legal because replacing the factory grip makes it shorter than the legal 26”.
To do this legally, you must increase the barrel length. The easiest way is to add a muzzle break. This reduces recoil, gets you over the 26” mark, and allows you to add a shell extension.
For a second option, we are designing a longer Seismic Grip that retains the advantages of the current design.
We are also working on other rail options for these short-barreled firearms. As the Seismic Shooting System becomes more popular, maybe Remington and Mossberg will consider building these with it; we will see.  

Product Rollout for conversion accessories, includes Grips, RM Weld, and Rail options

·       The first product rollout will be for the conversion of full stock Remington 870 and Mossberg 500 with ribbed barrels.

·       Second, conversion kits will be available for Remington 870 and Mossberg 500 shotguns with smooth barrels 18” or longer.

·       Third, conversion kits for the Remington Tac 14 and Mossberg 590 Shockwave.

·       Fourth, Conversion kits for Remington Tac 13 and Mossberg Aftershock.

The timing of the rollout will depend on how well the Seismic Shotgun System is accepted in the firearms industry and community.  The first two conversion kits for the Rem 870 and Moss 500 will be available this summer.
